PVD Technology
Our coloured fittings use Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) technology to apply fine layers of metal, atom by atom. This allows us to control the composition, hardness and durability of the surface compounds that coat our products. Independent testing demonstrates that PVD-finished taps from Ideal Standard are so durable, they are still free from scratches and abrasion marks after 10,000 use cycles*.
